Background
NGC 6770 is a face-on spiral galaxy in Pavo, 190 million light-years away, gravitationally interacting with NGC 6769. Together they form the more striking pair within the wider triplet that also includes the more distant background galaxy NGC 6771.
My Observing Notes
44-cm (Club 17.5-inch f/5): At the top of the field with NGC 6769 — the two clearly interacting. A uniform luminous face-on spiral glow at this aperture.(Saturday, September 2025)
