Background
NGC 6769 is one member of an interacting triplet of galaxies in Pavo (with NGC 6770 and the more distant NGC 6771), 190 million light-years away. NGC 6769 and NGC 6770 are tidally interacting and connected by a faint stellar bridge.
My Observing Notes
44-cm (Club 17.5-inch f/5): At the top of the field with NGC 6770 and NGC 6771; even with the 9 mm Nagler all three sit comfortably in the same FOV. NGC 6769 has the uniform luminous glow of a face-on spiral.(Saturday, September 2025)
