Background
NGC 6134 is a 7th magnitude open cluster a little northeast of NGC 6167. Medium-sized telescopes reveal more than 50 stars in a 10' area. It is one of several rich clusters scattered through this Milky Way-rich region of Norma — the Trumpler classification (II 3 m) marks it as moderately concentrated with a wide range of magnitudes and a moderately rich population.
