Background
NGC 6684 is a small lenticular galaxy 46 million light-years away in Pavo. Type SB0; a simple bright nucleus with no spiral structure visible at amateur apertures.
My Observing Notes
25-cm (Club 10-inch LX200): A much smaller galaxy than NGC 6744, with an elongated shape and a bright core but no halo. Averted vision needed to lift it cleanly out of the field of view.(Saturday, June 2025)
