Background
NGC 5925 lies on Norma's western border with Lupus. Discovered in 1826 by James Dunlop, this 8th magnitude open cluster comprises over 100 stars loosely scattered across a 20' field. The surrounding region is particularly rich in background Milky Way stars, so the view rewards low power. Trumpler classification III 1 m: detached with little central condensation, narrow magnitude range, moderately rich.
